Magicae realistica

This book covers a wide range of topics and considerations, which affect the shaping of a sustainable society. The content is food for thought. The book is written in the not-so-distant future. Most of us are going to experience this future. This is my story. The book also tells the story of my brother Thomas. He follows a different path from me and my sister in life. By including this path in the book too, it becomes clear how three completely separate societies are created in the future.
I deal with the problematic sides of human society as we know it, but on the other hand give a positive view of all the possibilities for a life on earth, in balance with nature.
Many images have been added and between the text, I have made a point that is important to me a little larger here and there. This way, it remains accessible and you can also leaf through the book occasionally for inspiration. With the book, I want to connect a lot of subjects. The common thread is a search for meaning and significance in life. This involves addressing the necessary existential questions: How did the Universe ever start? What is a human being and why are we here? What is consciousness and what is its role in our reality? The aim of the whole story is to reconnect individual consciousness with the bigger picture in a meaningful way. This is then also the basis for a new society.
I have given myself the freedom to question everything. In the first part of the book, I address a number of problems. In the second part, I propose a solution. The solution I describe is a small-scale society in the countryside, far from cities. We quietly go our own way and have left society for what it is.
With this book, I want to put the start of a parallel society in a broader context. Looking at the world with different eyes is a first step towards change. Especially if you do so mindfully and from full awareness. By full awareness, I mean having an eye for both the magical side of life and the practical side of everyday life. This book has no title, but it does have a theme: ‘Magical realism’.

The book is written in the year 2063

Looking back, it describes the decisions we have made and all that has happened in the previous 40 years.
The world goes through a complete transformation during this period. Three separate societies emerge on Earth after this. These societies are completely different from each other in all respects. In the countryside, a society emerges where magic is a part of everyday life. The challenge of this book was to describe this magical society in a realistic way. We have completely lost the magic. We are modern and we know better, but what do we actually know? What do we understand? Does anything still have meaning?
On the other hand, through Thomas’s experiences, another society is described. This one is completely transhumanist, with any form of magic gone. This is mainstream society and if you don’t really choose you will eventually end up in this society. To choose is not to protest and say what you don’t want. To choose is to fully empathise with what you do want. The third society is a subset of the second. This is a completely virtual society. How far this can go is detailed in the book.
The story contains a lot of content, as well as philosophical considerations in the search for meaning and purpose. This book explores the boundaries of our reality. At no point does the reader know where the story is headed and is constantly challenged to think outside the box.

Yang and Yin

The book consists of 2 parts. Yang and Yin. The first part of this book analyses the past world, by questioning everything. There should be room for new things. What we no longer need can go. Yang stands for destruction; Yin stands for preservation. Yang brings about disintegration; Yin gives shape to things. White is the colour of Yang and white is the end of a creation cycle. Black is the colour of Yin and black is the new beginning.

The first part is the, more or less objective, Yang context. Although viewed from our point of view, I think we can still agree that we were dealing with a problem in our society.

In the second Yin part, a subjective description follows our reality as a whole, including a description of society in 2063. The inspiration for this society is a response to the condition from which we disengaged. This condition demanded solutions. The question this book asks is whether we are not limiting ourselves too much by only looking at concrete and feasible solutions. By thinking about what we really want, very different ideas are bound to emerge. Our society in the future is the result of thinking outside the box.

The book discusses the power of a collective dream and the effect of fragmentation and flattening when everyone wants something different.

Intuitive logic

This book was created by following the path of intuitive logic. This is a slow process of always responding to what you have intuitively written and then continuing to write between the lines, as it were, to find the logic. Each line led to new questions that in turn led to new insights. In the book, there is a character called Onno, who plays this role of the voice within yourself. This is not ‘channelling’, where information is passed on. Many recipients of this information do not themselves understand what they have written down. I have read many channelled books and in all cases there is no logic to the content. Wishes are anticipated and all sorts of things are suggested. I have been following this information for over 25 years now and it is like the familiar carrot on a fishing rod. Again and again we are saved and again and again nothing happened. The intuitive logic that this book follows is all about self-responsibility. The reason we were able to start over successfully is because all the participants set out on their own step by step.

The run-up to the whole story takes place in the context of a global agenda. This agenda was fully developed and it was assumed that it would be accepted because there was no alternative. The whole world was then caught completely off guard. All mistrust proved unfounded. Time and again, the doomsday scenarios did not materialise. In fact, the agenda to reshape our society initially seemed to be a very positive development. The main weapon was to make the real agenda move agonisingly slowly. While everyone was focused on the front door, people were breaking in through the back door. The house was not looted, but small things kept disappearing. A plate, a spoon, or a bit of milk from a bottle in the fridge. Sometimes something was just put back. Something similar to the spoon that had disappeared. Through the mobile phone it was overheard whether you were on to something. The majority of people never noticed when things really went wrong. When do you notice that you are losing memories? When do you notice that thoughts are not yours? The book gives a glimpse into life being wirelessly piloted by AI.

But who are really the players and what are the real motives? The book delves into the invisible stakeholders driving our reality. It is not about money. Nor is it about power. There are other interests at play.

Invest in yourself

The main message of this book is to invest in yourself, by learning a trade that is relevant in a parallel society. Something you don’t need a computer to do. Furthermore, this book is all about forming your own opinion. Finding your own ‘tone’ and learning to stay mentally upright. No matter what. Try to detach from the mobile.

I describe the society of the future and how I got here. I have been living in an Oikos for twenty-eight years now. The big question now is: Would you want to live here too?

I have written this book to mention many things and start the discussion. Maybe you have very different ideas for shaping the society of the future.

This book further describes the cosmic reset. The reason for the WEF’s ‘great reset’ is to prevent them from completely losing control during this cosmic reset. What exactly is going to happen I am not going to tell yet in this summary. That would take the tension out of the book. The so-called elite and those in power behind the scenes are completely dependent on us. By fooling us, we have come to believe the opposite. There is a completely unknown scenario on Earth. Even the elite are told a story that is not true. Only in movies and books do insiders like to brag about everything they know. In the real world, the top of the pyramid leaves no stone unturned. This book points the way for an exploration within yourself. The fight against evil is a complete illusion that will only exhaust you. This struggle is directed outwards and with it you forget that the exit is within yourself.

Ecoregion

The society of the future consists of Ecoregions. These are economic regions with an ecological basis. Sustainability is the most important precondition here. These regions vary in size and started parallel to today’s society. The region where I myself live started with a network of people who decided to work together without a leading role for the government. By making everything function on a smaller scale and more regionally, society could become more effective, sustainable and resilient. An ecoregion is not meant to completely replace the existing society during start-up. Think of an ecoregion as an extra layer. You can also see it as a safety net or lifeboat. Within the Ecoregion, a cooperative is the engine of the local economy. We use the word Oikos instead of cooperative. This makes it slightly less business-like.

The underlying value for the local currency is based on the value of investments within the Oikos. By value, don’t think of gold and expensive things. Think of value as the ability to produce basic necessities on your own. The moment you link money to local production, you can be sure you can buy something for your money. Using means of production as an investment of value could trigger a transformation. A transition from an anonymous consumer society to one of engagement and responsibility.

A key component was activating as many hands as possible and transforming a consumer society into one where everyone is a producer. Think pensioners and young people. We needed everyone because we were going to do everything ourselves. We were not making a copy of the old society. This was an opportunity to get it right for the first time in human history.

An Oikos has a minimum set of ground rules. The purpose of the ground rules is flourishing and self-organisation. Bartering or borrowing is the basis of the economy. Effectiveness and accessibility are important here. The book describes the local economy in detail. The local currency is the ‘Frey’. The value of the Frey is that of the former French Franc. The idea is that the Frey is fixed and the value of 100 frey is linked to an hour of unskilled work. Because of this link to time, there is no inflation.

In a separate chapter, I discuss savings and pensions in our society. The big difference with the former society is that we arrange everything ourselves and we own it. There are no returns. Surpluses are converted into value-based investments. Art, architecture and culture play an important role here.

Defintions and principles

The book deals extensively with definitions of words used, often referring to physical principles. For example, what is an economy and when do you speak of sustainability? What does it mean when you vote for politicians? The consequences of ‘giving away your voice’ are much more far-reaching than we are told.

Only when we use our own voice again and not let someone speak for us. Only when we understand each other again by listening and using the same definitions. When we are involved in our own society again. Only then a first step towards a new society will have been taken.
